February 2025: Expanding our team!

In the Maritime Research Alliance we work to facilitate cross-institutional and interdisciplinary maritime research and strengthen collaboration across universities and stakeholders. We are therefore very pleased to welcome Hanna Barbara Rasmussen as a Special Consultant in the MRA secretariat.

Hanna is originally educated as a sociologist and has worked with maritime research since 2008. Her expertise spans accident prevention and health promotion, implementation of maritime legislation, and energy efficiency. With her extensive experience across research and practice, she brings valuable insight into the complex challenges and opportunities within the maritime sector.

In the MRA, Hanna will play a key role in organizing workshops and conferences and in supporting cooperation between universities. She will also focus on strengthening the MRA PhD network, such as academic and professional development activities for PhD students.

Hanna’s profile and experience strongly align with MRA’s mission to support innovative, collaborative maritime research. We look forward to working together and to exploring new opportunities in maritime research and innovation. Welcome aboard, Hanna!
