Future Horizons is an open-access career event in Copenhagen, designed for students and early-career professionals seeking insights, mentoring, and practical CV clinics in the maritime sector.

Hosted by Copenhagen Business School, Future Horizons offers a practical careers forum blending industry insights, a career progression panel, and a hands-on CV clinic with themed stations covering sea careers, commercial & operations, tech & data, ports & logistics, and further study opportunities.

The event is free for students from accredited universities (limited places) and open to all attendees holding a SMAGIC’25 ticket. Sessions will be conducted in English.

From Cadet to Commercial Lead: Building Maritime Talent Pipelines. Concrete examples of entry routes (sea/shore), internal mobility and how new entrants are supported.

 

14:40 – 15:40 Maritime Careers Progression Panel

Moderated by: Jessy Brughmans, Leadership Coach

Discussing real routes into shipping – at sea and on land – and how skills may transfer across roles – also ability to transition into shipping after paths in other areas.
