The Maritime Research Alliance hosts a seminar exploring AI adoption in chartering within the tramp shipping segment, featuring research insights and a panel debate with industry experts.

At this seminar, Agnieszka Nowinska, PhD, and Gisele Msann, PhD from Aalborg University Business School present findings from their research on AI adoption in chartering activities by Danish drybulk and tank companies. Their study highlights a relatively high uptake of AI in Denmark compared to broader industry mappings and identifies specific chartering tasks where AI is applied, either individually or in combination.
Following the presentation, a panel debate with experts from across the maritime sector explores business models for AI adoption, including in-house development, outsourcing, or hybrid approaches.
