AI is likely to severely impact the maritime sector. Tools such as Chat GPT could potentially be used to charter ships, automate customer support, assist in navigation and route planning, provide real-time weather and oceanographic data analysis, and aid in trouble shooting and maintenance on board ships. AI could potentially also be used for training purposes, and helping maritime professionals learn about regulations, safety procedures and best practices.

In this session two experts on Chat GPT discussed how the tool may impact the maritime sector in the future.
